How to find the reply to an SMS
Replies come back to a shared, public number.
Since the message goes out from our gateway's number, the recipient's reply comes back there — and not to your phone. These incoming messages appear on the public page of received messages, open to everyone. That's the trade-off of a free, account-free service: without sign-up, no private inbox is possible.
The steps

Send the message and remember the target line
It's that number that will help you spot their reply among all the incoming messages.

Go to the received messages page
It lists the messages that reached the gateway's number, from the most recent to the oldest.

Refine the sorting by number
The side filter shows only the messages from a specific line. Clicking a message card opens the same focused view.

Wait if nothing shows up yet
The list and the counters refresh at regular intervals. A brand-new reply may take a moment to appear.
Good to know
- •The numbers are partly masked on screen, but the text of the messages stays public.
- •Warn your recipient that their reply will be visible to everyone if they write to the number shown.
- •For a private exchange, slip your own number into the text and continue the conversation elsewhere.
Common questions
Does the reply reach me on my phone?
No. It arrives on the gateway's number — the one shown to the recipient — and appears on the received messages page.
Do these replies stay confidential?
No. Messages received on the gateway's number are published for all to see: don't exchange any sensitive data there.
